We are proud to announce the completion of construction works in the town of Cherven Bryag, Bulgaria. The project included the construction of a highway and a warehouse with a total area of 5000 m². The client was Palfinger and the works were carried out by the contractor Strabag.

Project specifications

The road base was a 200 mm thick concrete slab made of durable and reliable C30/37 grade concrete. During the construction process, ArmoTec macrofiber was used at a dosage of 3.0 kg/m³ to achieve the required performance characteristics of the pavement. In order to ensure the durability and stability of the road under significant loads and temperature fluctuations, expansion joints with a spacing of 6 × 6 meters were made on the surface. This solution will prevent the formation of cracks and extend the service life of the pavement even under conditions of intensive use.

The storage area adjacent to the road was built taking into account the specifics of its operation. The design of the warehouse assumes high strength and stability, as it is intended for storing and moving large-sized cargoes. The thickness of the concrete slab in the warehouse is 210 mm, which allows it to withstand significant mechanical loads. C35/45 grade concrete, which has increased strength characteristics, was used for the pavement. As on the road, ArmoTec 40 mm macrofiber was added to the concrete at a dosage of 3.0 kg/m³. Additionally, in order to maintain the integrity of the structure under loads, expansion joints with a spacing of 6 × 6 meters were made on the surface. This solution guarantees the preservation of the pavement durability even during active operation of the storage area.

This project provides a reliable infrastructure for Palfinger, meeting all modern requirements for durability, strength and safety. The highway and warehouse are designed and built to withstand heavy use, ensuring their resistance to significant loads and long-term operational stability.
