Our new project in the city of Tallinn, Estonia, has been successfully completed! We are proud to announce the completion of the construction of a 2-kilometer tram line connecting the airport with the seaport. This is an important infrastructural achievement for the city, which will improve transport connections and convenience for residents and tourists.

Why did we choose ArmoTec 40 mm macrofibre?

To increase the strength and durability of the structure, we used 40 mm ArmoTec microfiber. It was chosen due to a number of important advantages, including:

• Increasing crack resistance. ArmoTec effectively reduces the formation of cracks in concrete caused by shrinkage or mechanical loads.
• Optimal load distribution. Macrofiber provides an even distribution of the load on the entire concrete structure, which is especially important for objects such as tram lines and bus stops, where there is constant traffic.
• Corrosion resistance. ArmoTec 40 mm does not corrode, unlike metal fittings, which significantly increases the service life of structures in difficult climatic conditions.
• Decreasing the thickness of the concrete layer. Thanks to the high strength of the material, it became possible to use smaller thicknesses of the concrete layer without compromising reliability.

Technical specifications of the project

For this project, we used ArmoTec 40 mm macrofiber with different dosage for each of the areas:

• 4.0 kg/m³ under the rails,
• 3.0 kg/m³ between the rails,
• 5.0 kg/m³ at bus stops.

In addition, we used concrete with characteristics 35/45 and the optimal thickness of the concrete layer:

• 200 mm under the rails,
• 150 mm between rails.
